Indigenous expertise company dedicated to Indigenous enviro and social innovation
Improving people's lives and contributing to a more resilient society necessitates game-changing tactics and collaborations, as well as continual innovation.
Social innovation includes all of the above and is already making considerable progress in areas such as climate change disparities, prisoner reoffending, care for children and the elderly, community regeneration, financial inclusion, and supported housing. It has the potential to significantly assist Indigenous populations in developed and developing countries.
While governments and organizations have recognized the importance of social capital and social economy and have been engaged in these areas in recent years, a multi-sectoral national plan to foster social innovation is required. There is no recognized labor market strategy or program in the world that incorporates social Indigenous innovation as a response to the issues that those communities face.
This company's aim is to integrate Indigenous knowledge with social innovation, whilst leveraging partnerships with the tech sector in order to address and enhance the lives of Indigenous people worldwide.
Throughout my career, I’ve had a vast amount of exposure to international platforms that have allowed me to advance the rights of Indigenous people groups. This includes several opportunities to partner with the United Nations on panels and speaking engagements. For example, I have repeatedly served as a Panel Speaker on the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues. During these engagements, I presented a speech titled, “Perspectives from an Indigenous Human Rights Climate Change Advocate” and provided an in-depth analysis on climate change and its impact on Indigenous children and their future. I also addressed the dangers of climate variations on the Torres Strait Islands. I was able to leverage my background in international law to analyze Australian environmental policies and provide recommendations on how to lower emissions in order to ensure governmental standards aligned with the UN Human Rights charter.
In addition to my consultative engagement with the UN, I’ve also worked extensively with the United Nations Association of Australia as a Delegate and Lawyer for the Indigenous peoples of the Torres Strait islands. Since 2019, one of my primary purposes of my career has been to inform and advise key stakeholders and legislators with climate change mechanisms for Indigenous people under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Another one of my responsibilities allowed me to represent the Indigenous youth of Australia through the Paul Ramsay Foundation. Here, I partnered with the foundation to identify solutions to the growing social disadvantages that this population faces and encourage self-determination and allocation of resources. I believe my rewarding career with the United Nations Association of Australia has prepared me to fully commit myself to the meaningful mission of advising for advancement for Indigenous people.
Due to the results-oriented nature of the roles I’ve functioned in, I’ve produced an integration of taking ownership and initiative as a Fulbright Scholar, while simultaneously developing strong, interdependent relationships with the various teams I’ve worked with. I’ve come to understand the delicate balance between autonomously accomplishing directives and building meaningful rapport with colleagues. Having the synchronism of the two distinct aspects of leadership has forged in me a professional character of self-motivation, self-confidence, and high level operative communication skills.
Due to my extensive background in climate change, environmental policies, and international law, I am confident that I would be able to fully execute innovative and collective solutions whilst assisting your business in the advancement of Indigenous people.
